Lyynx integration: customer references in deal rooms

What the Lyynx integration does

Lyynx is a reference-management platform where your customers give explicit consent to act as a reference for you. You curate a library of approved reference contacts and companies there.

Once connected, that library is available inside forquotez deal rooms. On a deal room's References tab, a rep clicks Add from Lyynx, picks one or more approved references and attaches them. They appear on the prospect-facing deal room right away, in the same format as references you add by hand.

The integration is for display. There is no "request a call" button, and prospects cannot contact a reference through forquotez.

If you do not have a Lyynx vendor account, this integration does not apply to you. You can still add references to a deal room manually.

What syncs

What does not sync

• Edits made in Lyynx to a testimonial or photo do not update references already attached. The attached copy is a snapshot.
• Nothing is pushed from forquotez to Lyynx. Lyynx is the system of record for reference contacts.
• There is no contact-request flow between a prospect and a reference.

Every attach and every automatic removal is written to your forquotez audit log, so you can see which rep added which reference to which deal.

Setup steps

Lyynx connects with a personal access token, not OAuth. An admin in your forquotez organization has to do it.

1. In your Lyynx vendor account, generate a personal access token with read access to reference contacts and reference companies. Copy it when it is shown, because Lyynx displays it only once.
2. In forquotez, go to Settings and open the Integrations tab.
3. On the Lyynx card, click Connect, paste the token and click Save and verify. forquotez checks that the token works and has the right read access, then shows a Connected badge with the name of the Lyynx user who created the token.
4. Copy the webhook URL shown on the Lyynx card. In Lyynx, add it as a webhook endpoint with the reference_contact.revoked event enabled.
5. Paste the signing secret Lyynx gives you back into the forquotez integration settings. forquotez rejects any webhook whose signature does not match.
6. Open a deal room, go to the References tab and click Add from Lyynx to attach your first reference.

Step 4 and step 5 are what make automatic removal work. Do not skip them.

Limits and plan requirements

• forquotez plan: integrations are included on Professional and Enterprise, and deal rooms must be enabled. See pricing.
• Lyynx account: you need a Lyynx vendor account with at least one approved reference contact.
• Snapshots do not refresh: an attached reference stays as it was at the moment the rep attached it.
• Disconnecting: your token is removed immediately and the picker stops working. References already attached stay visible.
• Empty picker: the picker lists only references approved in Lyynx that are not already on the current deal room.
