Free Sales Quote Templates
A sales quote template is a reusable document that lists what you are selling, the price of each line, any discounts, the terms, an expiration date and a place to sign. Pick the template closest to how you sell, replace the sample data with your own, and send it or present it.

What every sales quote should include
- Who it is from and who it is for, with a named contact on the buyer side.
- Line items with a description, quantity, unit and unit price, so the total can be traced line by line.
- Discounts shown on the line they apply to, not hidden in the total. See how per-line discounts protect margin.
- Recurring and one-time charges kept apart, with the billing frequency stated.
- Terms: contract length, payment schedule and what is not included.
- An expiration date. A quote without one stays open forever. The quote expiration message generator helps you word it.
- A signature block for both sides.
How to use these templates
Each template comes as a Word document and an Excel workbook. The Excel version has working formulas: change a quantity, price or discount and the line totals and the quote total recalculate. The sample company names and prices are fictional, so replace all of them before you send anything.
If you quote on calls, a static file has a limit: it cannot change while the buyer is watching. That is what live presentation mode is for. You can see the difference in the interactive sample quote, or read the guide to presenting a quote live.
Quote, proposal or estimate?
A quote states a price for a defined scope and is usually valid until a set date. A proposal makes the case for the work as well as pricing it. An estimate is an approximate price that can change. The glossary explains the difference between a quote, a proposal and an estimate in more detail.
Open this as an interactive quote in forquotez and present it on your next call.

Are these sales quote templates free?
Yes. They are free to download and edit, with no sign-up.
Which formats are included?
Each template is available as a Word document (DOCX) and an Excel workbook (XLSX). The Excel file can also be uploaded to Google Sheets.
Is the data in the templates real?
No. Every company name, contact and price in the templates is fictional sample data. Replace it with your own before sending.
How long should a quote be valid?
Long enough for the buyer to decide and short enough that your prices and availability still hold. Whatever period you choose, write the date on the quote.
Can I turn a template into an interactive quote?
Yes. In forquotez you build the same structure as a quote form and present it live, so quantities, discounts and terms can change on the call. Every account starts with a free 30-day trial.
