Quote Expiration Message Generator

A good quote expiration message states the date the quote is valid through and exactly what changes after it. Enter your deadline, what changes, and optionally the prices and names, and this generator writes two versions for an email, a quote banner or a follow-up reminder. It uses fixed templates, so the wording stays factual and free of false urgency.

Free to use. Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent to our servers.

The deadline

Use the date that is actually on the quote, and the thing that actually changes after it.

The last day the quote or offer is valid. It must be after today.

Names you type are placed in the message only, never in the share link. Leave them blank to get [First name] and [Your name] placeholders instead.

Your messages

Send these only if the date and the consequence are true. If you would extend the deadline for anyone who asks, the deadline is not real and the message is not honest.

Results depend entirely on the numbers you enter. Check them against your own contracts and accounting.

How this works
  • The messages are assembled from fixed templates in your browser. There is no AI and the tool makes no network requests. The same inputs always produce the same text.
  • Nothing is generated until you enter a real date that is after today. A deadline message needs a deadline, and the tool will not invent one.
  • The date is written out in your browser's language and region format, so check it reads correctly for your customer.
  • Each message states two facts: what holds through the deadline, and what changes after it. If you enter both prices, it also states the difference between them.
  • Tone changes the greeting, the opening line, the closing and the sign-off. It never changes the facts.
  • Your inputs are kept in the page address so the share link works. Anyone you send the link to can read them. Names are never put in the link.
  • Channel changes the shape: a full email with a subject line, a one or two sentence banner for the quote itself, or a short follow-up.
  • The copy avoids pressure phrases and claims like "only a few left". Edit the text freely after you copy it.

When to use this generator

Use it when a quote has a real end date and you need to tell the buyer without it reading like a pressure tactic. It covers three cases: a price that goes back to the regular rate, an implementation slot you can only hold for so long, and a promotion with a fixed end.

The tool writes nothing until you enter a date that is still ahead. That is deliberate. A deadline works because it is true. If you extend it for anyone who asks, the buyer learns that your dates are negotiable, and the next one carries less weight. Pick the tone that sounds like you, copy the text, and edit it before you send.

Putting the deadline on the quote itself

A reminder email is one way to communicate a deadline. Another is to put it where the buyer is already looking. In forquotez you can set an expiration date on a quote and attach limited-time pricing to it. The buyer sees a countdown on their quote, and when the deadline passes the prices roll back to the regular rate.

That keeps the message and the quote in agreement: the date in your email is the date on the document. See quote expiration and limited-time pricing, or the glossary entry on quote expiration.

Frequently asked questions

What should a quote expiration message say?

The date the quote is valid through, what changes after that date, and how to go ahead or ask for more time. Leave out anything you cannot stand behind.

Does this tool use AI?

No. The messages are assembled from fixed templates in your browser. The same inputs always produce the same text.

Why does it require a future date?

A deadline message with no real date behind it is false urgency. The tool generates nothing until the date is valid and still ahead.

How long should a quote stay valid?

That depends on your costs, your capacity and how long your buyers take to decide. The tool does not suggest a period. Use a date your pricing or schedule can honestly support.

Can I edit the messages?

Yes. Copy a variant and change it as much as you like. Keep the date and the consequence accurate.
